Overview of the Pre-Admission System

  • Applicants who do not have a TOPIK score may still be granted pre-admission if they successfully pass the interview (conducted in Chinese or English)



Korean Language Requirement Not Required (Pre-Admission)

  • → Final admission to the School of International Studies, Division of Global Liberal Studies (Humanities and Social Sciences Track). Students may choose their major only from among the following: Global Korean Language & Culture Studies, AI·Media, or English Language & Literature.
  • Implementation Period: Pre-Admission Application (July–October 2025) / Admission for March 2026 and Fall 2026.

4. Eligibility Requirements 
(Nationality, Education, and Language Requirements)

Category
Eligibility
NationalityApplicants and his/her parents must be non-Korean citizens. (Ethnic Koreans): Applicants are eligible if both they and their parents acquired foreign nationality before beginning an educational program equivalent to the Korean high school curriculum. For dual nationals, eligibility is recognized if both the applicant and their parents renounced Korean nationality prior to entering high school.
EducationApplicants must have completed, or be expected to complete secondary education either in Korea or abroad, or hold an equivalent or higher level of education.
LanguageApplicants who do not have a TOPIK score may still be granted pre-admission if they successfully pass the interview (conducted in Chinese or English).

Additional Notes:

  • In single-parent families, only the nationality of the legal guardian (father or mother) is considered (official documents required).
  • Students who are currently enrolled (including those on leave) at SeoulTech are not eligible for new admission or transfer.
  • Eligibility will ultimately be decided by the International Affairs Committee.

7. Pre-Admits for 2026 Admission

When applying for the March 2026 admission, the submission of final admission documents and other detailed admission procedures will be processed in accordance with the 2026 March Admission Guidelines.
