Terms of Use

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Use govern the use of seoultechglobal.org (the "Portal"), operated by the SeoulTech Global international admissions team of Seoul National University of Science and Technology ("SeoulTech", the "Operator"). The Portal provides admission information, online consultation and application services for prospective international students.

Article 2 (Definitions)

• "Member" means a person who has created an account on the Portal by agreeing to these Terms.
• "Account" means the email address and password used by a Member to sign in.
• "Services" means admission information, the AI admission guide, consultation messages, student profiles, application forms and status updates provided through the Portal.

Article 3 (Account Registration and Security)

1. A Member registers with a valid email address and a password of at least 8 characters.

2. Members are responsible for keeping their password confidential and for all activity under their Account. Members must notify the Operator immediately of any unauthorized use.

3. One person may hold only one Account. Accounts may not be transferred, sold or shared.

Article 4 (Services)

1. The Operator provides admission guidance, consultation with admissions staff, online application and status tracking.

2. Messages may be delivered both within the Portal and by email to the address registered by the Member.

3. The Operator may change, add or discontinue Services for operational or technical reasons and will announce material changes on the Portal.

Article 5 (Accuracy of Information and Authenticity of Documents)

1. Members must provide true, accurate and complete information about themselves, including their name, nationality, academic records and language proficiency.

2. Submitting false information, or forged or altered documents, may result in rejection of the application, cancellation of admission (even after enrollment), restriction of future applications, and notification to the relevant authorities, including immigration authorities.

Article 6 (Admission and Visa Disclaimer)

1. Consultation, AI-generated answers and the submission of an application through the Portal do not guarantee admission to SeoulTech.

2. Final admission decisions are made solely through SeoulTech's official admission review procedures, and the official admission guidelines prevail over any information shown on the Portal.

3. Issuance of a student visa (such as D-2 or D-4) is decided by the immigration authorities of the Republic of Korea, and the Operator does not guarantee its issuance.

4. Answers from the AI admission guide are for reference only and may contain errors. Please confirm important matters with the admissions staff.

Article 7 (Member Obligations)

Members must not:

• impersonate another person or SeoulTech staff;
• use another person's personal information or Account;
• interfere with the operation or security of the Portal, including automated access, excessive requests or the distribution of malicious code;
• send abusive, discriminatory, obscene or illegal content, or commercial advertising, through consultation messages;
• infringe the intellectual property or other rights of SeoulTech or third parties.

Article 8 (Restriction and Termination)

1. Members may request account deletion at any time by contacting the Operator.

2. The Operator may restrict or terminate an Account that violates these Terms or applicable laws.

3. Application records and submitted documents may be retained after account deletion for the period required by applicable laws and university regulations, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Article 9 (Intellectual Property)

1. Content provided by the Operator on the Portal, including text, images and logos, belongs to SeoulTech or its licensors and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without permission.

2. Members retain rights to the materials they submit and grant the Operator the right to use them only for admission review, consultation and related administration.

Article 10 (Limitation of Liability)

1. The Operator is not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure, such as natural disasters, network failures of telecommunication providers or third-party attacks, or by scheduled maintenance announced in advance.

2. The Operator is not liable for damage caused by a Member's own fault, including disclosure of their password or the provision of inaccurate information.

Article 11 (Changes to These Terms)

The Operator may amend these Terms in accordance with applicable laws. Amendments will be announced on the Portal at least seven (7) days before they take effect, or thirty (30) days for changes unfavorable to Members.

Article 12 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any dispute arising from the use of the Portal shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent court of the Republic of Korea under the Civil Procedure Act.
